Setup Guide
1. Create your copy
Click the 'Use This Template' button below. Google Sheets will prompt you to make a copy — save it anywhere in your Drive and rename it if you'd like.
2. Enter Your Monthly Starting Amount
Open the 'Dashboard' tab and enter your starting monthly amount in Cell C8. This tells the sheet how much you plan to allocate across Needs, Wants, and Savings.
3. Sign in & Add Your Sheet
Go to your Chat2Sheet Dashboard and sign in. Click 'Add New Sheet' and select the Google Sheet you just copied.
4. Select the 'Log' Tab & Connect
Make sure the tab called 'Log' is selected — this is where your transactions will be added. Then click 'Connect Sheet' to link it.
5. Share Edit Access
Open your Google Sheet, click 'Share' (top right), and add [email protected] with Editor access. This allows Chat2Sheet to write entries to your sheet.
6. Link Your Phone
Back in your dashboard, connect your WhatsApp or Telegram number so Chat2Sheet can receive your messages.
7. Test a message
Send something like 'Groceries $75' or 'Rent $1350'. Within seconds, it will appear in your 'Log' tab and update your dashboard automatically.
View Any Month Instantly
In the 'Dashboard' tab, use the Month and Year dropdown at the top to switch between periods. The charts and totals automatically update to show only the transactions from that selected month.
Your Dashboard Updates Automatically
As you send new messages, the sheet logs them in the 'Log' tab and the dashboard recalculates totals, percentages, and remaining balance in real time.
